Pre-NCT Checks – Co. Longford

The National Car Test (NCT) is a compulsory check carried out on private cars under ten years old, every two years, or every year for older cars, to assess a car’s visible and accessible components for roadworthiness. It is a standard requirement across Ireland.

The test is not designed to replace an owner’s responsibility for ensuring their car is always in a roadworthy condition, nor is it a substitute for any essential routine maintenance that should be carried out periodically. Any defects found on an NCT must be repaired, and the car must undergo and pass a re-test before its owner can be issued with an NCT Certificate.

Morgan's Garage is highly experienced and carries out pre-NCT inspections on most makes of cars, and we also advise customers whether their car is sufficiently roadworthy to ensure it passes the test. The technicians at our workshop in Coolarty, Co. Longford, have a wealth of knowledge about dealing with each aspect of the test and this will give you complete peace of mind. You can be confident that Morgan's Garage is reliable and trustworthy, and the best garage to visit to prepare for your NCT.
