Visiting Our Workshop from Around Co. Longford

When a warning light comes on or your car starts making an unfamiliar noise, it helps to have a garage close to home. Morgan's Garage is a short drive from Ballinalee, just off the R194 at Ballynascraw, and we repair and service most makes of cars and vans up to 3.5 tonnes.

Some of the repairs we can help with

A grinding noise when you brake

Grinding usually means the brake pads have worn down far enough for metal to touch the disc. It’s worth getting this looked at quickly, because the longer it goes on, the more likely the discs will need replacing too.

Revs climbing but the car isn’t speeding up

This is the classic sign of a slipping clutch, often first noticed when pulling away uphill or overtaking. A clutch rarely recovers once it starts slipping, so it’s better to plan the replacement than wait for it to give out on the road.

A cambelt that’s due

Timing belts don’t usually give any warning before they fail, and when one snaps it can cause serious engine damage. Your handbook lists the replacement interval, and we can check your car’s history and tell you whether it’s due.

We also take care of most other repairs, and supply and fit budget and premium tyres.

When a warning light won’t go away

Our dealer-level diagnostic equipment reads the fault codes stored in your car’s systems, so we can find the cause instead of guessing. On newer diesels, we can also look after AdBlue, the fluid many engines use to reduce emissions.

Servicing for VW Group cars and other makes

Every service we carry out follows the manufacturer’s schedule using OEM parts, so your warranty stays intact. Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, and SEAT owners will find specialist expertise for their cars, and of course we’re just as happy to service whatever else is parked in your driveway.
